The Lead is:
Martin; audio engineer, graphic designer, photographer, musician and independent scene supporter with over 20 years of experience in live sound across an array of venues in and around the UK’s East Midlands.
Good sound allows great performances, and this starts on stage. Dial it in there before anywhere else and let the artist(s) get as comfortable as possible, it's their space. It's then up to the tech to make space in the mix, and prioritize levels to suit the style and room. It's not rocket surgery… with the right musicians, and yes, helps to be a musician, but also objective in mixing for the audience and/or format.
